The DI-784 is a dualband wireless router, supporting IEEE 802.11a/b/g (2.4/5GHz) standards. It has a single 10/100Base-T WAN port and four 10/100Base-T Ethernet LAN ports.

The integrated access point supports WEP and WPA wireless encryption and 802.1x authentication.

The DI-784 supports VPN pass-through for IPSec, L2TP and PPTP. It features a built-in firewall to protect the network from malicious attacks. This router can be configured via Web-based configuration utility, including a Quick Setup Wizard.

Piece if junk, that is the last thing I buy that says dlink on it.
Constantly drops any connection, wired or wirless no matter what setting is tweaked. Updated firmware makes no difference. Save yourself the trouble and look elswhere...

This device really disapointed me, it's really not worth the spent money. It also hangs (diodes stop blinking) the connection even when the DHCP service and wireless interfaces are disabled. As a workaround you might periodically restarting it using a Watir script or from the AC source. Rebooting takes around a minute.
The product service has been discontinued already by the DLINK. :)

I agree with both the previous reviewers. I regret this purchase. That D-Link no longer supports this model says a lot about the quality of their customer committment.
